Stopped by here for lunch with my husband 1.5 weeks ago because we saw this restaurant featured on the Cooking Channel's Unique Eats. This restaurant is different from your typical pizzeria because of their Neapolitan style pizza (slices of mozzarella on pizza instead of the shredded with toppings you desire all cooked in a wood burning oven).
When we came into this restaurant, we were immediately acknowledged and seated right away. This is what we ordered:
Settebello- This was definitely one of the better pizzas I have ever had. Our server said this was one of their most popular pizzas (he told this after we ordered it). This pizza was really good, as it had a nice crisp, thin and tender chewy crust. All of the flavors in the 1st bite was very satisfying and I would order this again. By the way, because this restaurant is trying to be as authentic as the pizzas in Italy, they do not normally serve the pizzas pre-sliced like you would find in other restaurants. But he said we could request for them to cut it for us if we wanted. We just cut a piece of the pizza to share ourselves.
Panzanella Salad- good portion, clean tasting and something I wanted because I was jonesing for salad for lunch. I asked for the salad dressing to be placed on the side and it came as I had requested. This salad isn't exactly memorable, but I got what I wanted and was satisfied with it.
Overall, our lunch was a good experience. It wasn't too crowded when we arrived (around 12 pm) but could see that they do get a good lunch crowd. The only negative thing I would say about our experience though was our server. He was rather strange because he would say some real odd comments that make you just kind of think 'what...?' .... but other than that, no other negatives.
By the way, this place is located in the same plaza as Whole Foods. There is plenty of parking and there is outdoor seating here.
