I never would have expected this place to be as good as it was. As a visiting Yelper from Kansas City, I rely on my brethren to suggest good food, drink, and entertainment. This recommendation was by far one of the best I've ever experienced.
Staying nearby and not wanting hotel food for breakfast, we ventured out looking for a solid meal for us and our little one. I'm so glad we stumbled upon Benedict's, a hole in the wall on Bell Rd that looks like it might have once housed a dry cleaners. Menu items were limited but all sounded terrific. I settled on the breakfast burrito, a regular benedict for my wife, and a pastry for our son. I had some serious food envy of my wife's plate, a perfect concoction of eggs and hollandaise resting peacefully on top of a flaky biscuit. My regular coffee was "meh" but the Mexican coffee was excellent. The atmosphere was totally chill and things really starting picking up as we ate. Servers were attentive and very friendly.
We did notice another table missing some food items after they ordered and another table loudly cursing up a storm behind us. These don't detract from my review, but were noticeable enough to make things interesting.
We'll definitely return when back in Scottsdale. If you blink you might miss this gem. It was well worth taking a chance on a sunny Saturday morning.
