| - I visited this location in November. I contemplated writing this review since.
I was given a referral by my gynecologist. My right breast was leaking clear fluid and I had quite a lot of pain on only that breast.
My mother had breast cancer 4 years ago, luckily, she beat it. Two of my maternal aunts have also had a couple of scares as well.
Of course, I did not take this lightly.
They called me before I was able to call first. My doctor advised to give them 5-7 days before doing so.
I was able to make an appointment based on my availability.
The receptionist was very kind. I was very nervous.
I'm moved inside it's my boyfriend, a medical assistant reviews questions with me, glad she did, some of the information taken was incorrect.
Finally, the doctor returns. She's nice and asks questions about what I do for work and what type of bras I wear. She leaves.
I'm moved to a different room to wait, without my boyfriend, to have a sonogram taken of my breast.
I'm moved back into the waiting room where I wait for my results. I was beyond nervous, nauseous even.
Finally, a nurse takes me to a small room to give them to me. She lets me know I have bruising on my right rib cage and hands me a couple of papers on how to help myself with the pain.
I tell her I am unhappy with how the appointment went.
I felt the doctor never asked enough questions and the sonogram of my breast didn't focus on my nipple or the whole breast.
She gets the doctor.
I must say, this woman entered the room and began to belittle me, she said I wasn't wearing the correct bras. Informed me they never see patients with that type of pain or clear liquid coming out of breast.
I then asked it that were so, then why did THEY call me to schedule an appointment. Why put me through this emotionally. Why have me drive across town and spend 2 hrs in this office and pay a copay of $30?
Why didn't they call my gynecologist and take this up with them? She, of course, had no answer.
All I really can say is, this woman has NO business being in the medical field. None. She lacked compassion and profession. As the daughter of a breast cancer survivor, of course I took this serious and I will not let this woman discourage me after this horrible experience.
