This is a beautiful, historic hotel. My husband and I stayed here last summer to celebrate our anniversary. You can't beat the location - it is right along the waterfront in Old Montreal. There are tons of restaurants nearby and lots to do within walking distance. My only complaint is that neither of the two rooms we stayed in were as clean as I would have expected them to be. There was a large used bandaid shoved into a crevice in a brick wall in one of our bathrooms. It was relatively camouflaged so I can see how housekeeping might have missed it, but it was right next to the toilet so I quickly spotted it. Both rooms needed a thorough dusting as well. It didn't seem to bother my husband at all, so I didn't make a fuss. All the staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. There is a cool rooftop bar on the top floor. There is also a restaurant/pub attached that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We had breakfast there a few times and it was very good. Overall it was a pleasant stay, I just hope they step up their game as far as cleaning and upkeep.
