I made an appointment because I was referred by another attorney. I guess I should've known that the first red flag was that they told me there is $150 consultation fee that can only be paid in cash and it's nonrefundable. This is before even discussing anything about what their ballpark figures of what they're going to cost to represent me is.
They also send out two forms to you in a very personal that this was a lot of information without establishing any type of attorney-client privilege.
So I go in to discuss my issues with them and after I told them that I'm uncomfortable paying that kind of money completely blind and not knowing anything. The secretary just b to reassure me, but of course it doesn't help. Ends up that without the 150, they don't talk so I cannot go with them.
Let me get this right, this guy works for the attorney general for years and then becomes an attorney in private practice that takes money, only in cash, from people, without giving any information. Sounds like working at the AG office taught him a few things about scams.
