| - I stayed here during a weekend trip to Pittsburgh and it's apparently so new that it doesn't have a Yelp page! Let's change that.
Pros: Swanky lobby, polite staff (David and Felicia were excellent), breakfast is included, there's a reception in the evening with complimentary drinks, excellent location, nice views of the city and the river, walking distance to restaurants and night life, blackout blinds, friendly security people downstairs, and beautiful, large rooms with comfy beds, sofa beds in the living area, and trendy, new amenities.
Cons: On the pricier side, valet parking is $30+ a night when the garage across the street is $10 for the entire weekend, it's hard to find because it's located within another building, the bathrooms had issues (shower head was too high to reach, the toilet seat kept popping off, the shower door leaked onto the floor, and the bathroom door didn't have a lock), the food was so-so and breakfast area was regularly out of something (plates, silverware, a thousand empty ketchup bottles), the elevators are slow, the lighting in the bedrooms is really bad, and the cleaning staff could do a better job (there were empty wrappers and half-used sugars inside of our coffee set).
It might not seem like it, but the pros outweighed the cons. I loved the hotel's proximity to Market Square and the Strip District. Overall I really enjoyed my stay and think that this will be a four star hotel once they work out the kinks.
