  • I want to start by saying that the 2 gentlemen that helped me were absolutely fantastic. Polite and engaged from start to finish. They came in clutch on Super Bowl Sunday and definitely helped ease what could have been a horribly stressful situation. Before you judge; no, I did not need my phone to update my status for the game...I was coordinating an event for my family and not being able to see my screen was causing more hassle than help. It was dropped the night before (Incubus concert, jafeel?) and the display completely separated from the phone itself. How it continued to work the rest of the evening is beyond me, but it gave it's final breath the next morning. The place I intended to go to was closed, but my Honey was able to find uBreakiFix on yelp and look at that, it was right by my place! I think it was Lee on the phone, made a reservation for me and told me I would be able to use the Yelp check in discount for my visit once I was actually able to check in with my own phone. It was another man that helped me when I got there, even went into the back to see if maybe it didn't really need replacing (I wasn't that lucky). They finished the work in the hour that they promised and I could see my beautiful daughter on my home screen again. Now..for the reason it only got 4 stars. There's a thingy (yes, that's the technical term) sticking through the headphone jack that prevents me from actually using my headphones. It wasn't there before; I'm assuming its a piece that was forced through by the new display? No idea. But I'll have to go back and have them remove it which I won't be able to do until the weekend. Sadly I use my headphones on a daily basis for work and now am unable to. I guess I'll invest in the wireless once. Not a total loss, right?
