| - I bought a Groupon and went there based on the good reviews, but was very disappointed. The restaurant is right next to an ambulance place, and the shopping mall is scruffy. We got there just after 6:30 but the buffet table was all empty. There're three tables of customers there, but apparently they don't refill the buffet entries after they first ran out. We went ahead and ordered food. I was still excited at that point for this new experience. It took well over half an hour for the food to start to come out, and probably a good 5-10 minutes between each plate we ordered. My pad Thai with shrimp ($10) was very oily, the noodles dripping oil when I lift them with fork. The sweet chicken ($10) is oily too. Both dishes' flavor was very bland. Then my son's Thai chicken sandwich came out and it was just horrifying. The sandwich bread was soggy and oily. I took a bite of the sweet potato fries, and it's obvious that they used used oil to fry that, because it tasted like other food! I noticed the table cloth was dirty too, which indicates that it hasn't been washed for weeks. At that point I just wanted to leave. The sandwich was untouched and I probably should send it back but I didn't bother. If you want good Thai food, go to Thai Basil, Thai Rama, Thai Elephant. Any of these are way better. My favorite is Swaddee on the SW corner of Ray and Rural. Best Thai food around and I've been going there for years and it never dissapoints. Strange enough, it's not even more expensive than Thai Buffet.
