  • I was hesitant to try Texas Roadhouse. I'm not usually down for chain steakhouses or any chain restaurants for that matter, but I thought I'd give it a chance since my mom and brother had been talking about their steaks. Chains are supposed to be known for their consistency, right? It can't be that bad? Unfortunately I wasn't impressed I could elaborate on how all of the steaks were not cooked to order and mine even came out moo-ing, but what's the point? I gave it a chance, the food was inconsistent. Nothing was out of this world, but I did taste a piece of my mom's filet (we ordered the same thing same temp), and it was very good and tender. My brother wasn't happy with his steak either, but I honestly didn't expect anything better.
