| - Wow, so there are a lot of interesting reviews on this site. I have been here for three months, which is around the time Simpson took over. Out of the gate the challenge was clear - Simpson hired a mostly junior team and brought in an unfriendly property manager named Terri. Terri was recently moved to another property and there has been no official communication on who took over. There is seldom communication from the management team so I am not surprised.
Many people on here have mentioned crime on the property. I have seen nothing here and I feel very safe. I do think the previous owner rented to some questionable folks (not necessarily thugs) to boost the vacancy rate in order to sell the place. These folks are starting to vanish as far as I can tell.
Anyway, I find most of the people who live here to be nice. I am always out walking my dog so I meet everyone. I also see people commenting on issues with dogs. I rarely see a dog off leash, almost never find dog feces laying around, and seldom hear dogs barking. Yeah, on occasion I see someone walk their dog in the common areas, but who really cares. I feel dogs are better behaved than the residents.
As for the quality of the apartments. Folks, these are apartments built by a business looking to make money. They are apartments and not luxurious homes. Everything about the construction is decent, but not great. I live in one of the townhouse units so I have only one common wall with my neighbor. I do hear some folks in the buildings say they can hear their neighbors walk above them. Again, it's an apartment.
Otherwise, the only other real issue is guest parking. According to the front office the previous owner was giving extra parking spots to residents who needed them. Simpson says they are taking the places back when those leases expire. In the meantime I see residents constantly parking in the guest spots and according to management this is okay. So expect little to no guest parking.
I was here to give myself time to buy a house. I am now in escrow and should be moving out in a month. I have no regrets about living here. I would encourage perspective tenants to sign up for short term leases to give yourself an out if you are not happy here.
