This studio was my not only my first experience in hot yoga, but my first with a real yoga studio. All my prior yoga practice had come from those watered down Goodlife Fitness yoga classes. Bikram yoga is HOT!! I thought I was going to die multiple times the first class I had there. I finished my 800ml bottle of water within the first 30 minutes and had none left for the remaining 60 minutes! But by the end of it, I felt good despite it all. Bikram takes some getting used to...ok A LOT of getting used to. But after 4 classes I felt at home and didn't need to even finish the same bottle of water by the end of the class.
The studio is a bit small, but all the mirrors help newbies monitor themselves. All the instructors are nice and friendly. They would also ask who was new at the start so they could keep an eye on them for extra help and they would warmly have the class congratulate the newbies for surviving the first session by the end of the class. There's a great communal feeling with this place.
The men's change room is clean, but there isn't a lot of space. Often people would have to change by the wall with their clothes on the ground instead of a bench. Overall, I like the place, everyone is really friendly and caring there. Too bad it's a bit of a trek for me to get to. A few times I rushed to get there, coming a few minutes late and the front doors were already locked :(
