  • Honestly when my sister said "I made reservations at the Golden Nugget"! I automatically imagined myself in a scene from the movie Casino...smoking a cigarette in a dimly lit room! Thank goodness it was nothing like that..... My parents wanted to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary at Vegas with their kids and grandchildren and great grandchildren! It was about 20 of us that made it! We all checked in at different times and it all went smoothly! All but one: My parents room: my mom wanted a handicap access room! So the parents had to wait for a couple of hours which made my mother upset, so they let her have a late check out time on the day they were leaving! Did this make my mama happy? No, but that's a whole other story!!! We got our key cards and went up to our room, we got a bit confused but the employees helped us right away and lead us to the correct tower! There was no stench of closed up cigarette smoke in the elevator! Finally we get to our room! I think these rooms were just recently remodeled because the bathroom was very modern looking, dark furniture, and flat screen TVs, huge beds with fluffy pillows! Oh those pillows! All of the rooms we got were very nice and spacious! The minus one star is for the 10 dollar Keurig coffee they have that you have to purchase where other hotels is complimentary and the 4 dollar price tag on a small water bottle! Crazy! Internet fee is included in the resort fee which is $22 a day! It's in the cost of the room, not an additional fee so basically it's already paid for! You also need your key card for parking, gym and the pool that closes at 9 pm and opens at 9am! Btw, the pool has a slide that goes right through a shark tank! Aaahhh! Plenty of eateries! Two, yes two Starbucks are located in here! Parking is easily accessible. They have the Valet option or the self parking! We did both and found that just walking to our car was way faster than waiting around for our car! Four stars!!! We all had a great time!!
