  • This place reminds me of a more Pacific Northwest-y, sit down Dutch Brothers. That's fine, but not what I was really hoping for after I heard they were from Oregon. I really liked the decor inside and the employees were upbeat and nice (although one of them didn't know what a pour over is- kind of strange when black rock is also a roastery). As far as coffee, the menu also reminded me of Dutch Bros, with very caffeinated sweet drinks (I'd recommend one of the iced coffees). However, if you're looking for really fresh coffee and get into the subtleties of region, roast, brewing method, etc, you'd be better off at Peixoto. Overall a good place that's more comparable to Dutch Bros than esteemed coffee roasters like Heart, Stumptown, etc., but definitely better than Starbucks!
