  • $17. Quick simple summer cut. Was gonna go to Bloomfield but the guy on the phone @ Cercone's just sounded too old & gruff. Safi on the phone sounded vibrant, polite, & kind. Long story short, he did a great job. Very, very attentive, made sure that there were no missed spots & that I LOOKED GOOD. He also gave me a free shampoo to get all the loose hair off me. The only cons are he did not show me the sides or back (I didn't ask), & as he was finishing up with the wash & dry, an older woman walked in who was a regular & I got the feeling that I was being immediately ejected from the chair. Walking up Murray, I had to dry out my ears with a paper towel. No biggie. I'm giving back the 1star I took off cuz I like support indie businesses especially those run by immigrants. The BIG PRO with Safi is that he is very professional & very comfortable working in silence. I didn't get the usual, " So do you go to school here, or do you work?", which I appreciated. I was very happy when I got home & checked myself out in the bathroom mirror. I went out again & didn't even have to change my shirt either cuz there was no itching! Thanks, Safi, U R Thee American Dream Writ Large. Seriously. Everyone support Safi's. Stop wasting yr time & money on cranky old dudes (Bloomfield) or with overpriced poseurs (Lawrenceville/Shadyside). No pretense, no bull, no drama @ Safi's... Just a clean cut that's right on the busline.
