  • I bought the GroupOn deal for 8 people with a promo code which worked out to cost us about $10/person. Which is a pretty good price for an escape room but as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for... Let me say, I have been to a few different room escape places (At Escape, Trapped, Omescape, Breakout Team Adventures, etc.). I had low expectations from this place to start off because I read some reviews about it. However, it still fell short and I would say it was my least favourite place of all the ones I've been to. I called in to make the booking which was easy enough to do and got the email confirmation. They suggested we do the "Doctor Nightmare" room, so I booked that one. The place was relatively easy to find and had lots of parking available. Upon walking in, they have a foosball table and a sitting area for playing some board games that they had on a shelf (not a huge selection, but I think it was free to play these). I won't give away too much about the room but it was okay in terms of the technology and set-up. But the room had potential to be much better. They had combination locks, electronic locks, and a few other unique things. The hint system wasn't very efficient as you had to dial #6 on a physical phone that was fixed in the first room (it was a multi-room area), so when we needed help, we had to go all the way back to the first room to call...other places i've been to often have a walkie talkie that you can carry with you. Also, the hint that was given to us was a bit too much help...she basically told us the answer about the part we were stuck on instead of giving us a subtle hint. We got out in the end and were all like "that's it?" We had about ten minutes to spare. Once we got out, they had some props and signs that you can hold to take pictures with as most other places have. The staff was pretty nice. Overall it was an okay experience but if you have done other room escape places then you realize that this just won't cut it in comparison to most others. However, for about $10/person, price is really good... I personally doubt I'd go back to try the other rooms though.
