  • I've been unable to afford/avoiding going to the dentist for 6 years. I finally caved, and took up Dr. Johansen's office on their new patient special for free exam and xray. I've never met a nicer more flexible staff. The receptionist got me in the same day (literally in 10 minutes). Special shout out to Peggy. I have never met such a gentle dental hygienist. She recognized my anxiety being there and was very kind and gentle, really taking the time to walk me through the process and answer all my questions. Same with Dr. Grant Johansen. Bonus points to Dr. Grant, because he was so respectful and gracious to his staff, which isn't always something you see in dentists. Plus when I actually had the dental work done, they had the nitrus on the whole time, I was so relaxed not only because of the nitrus but mainly because I felt respected and fully informed on the process. Recommending to all my friends, I really appreciate the level of care here. They really took the time to explain risks and benefits to me (in answer to all my questions), and because they didn't shame me I feel like I actually want to take better care of my teeth.
