  • Oh how I love me some Yogurtland! My daughters and I frequent this location a few times a month as it is my daughters favorite thing to eat. So today, I wanted to surprise my little girl and take her to get some of her favorite treat. As we entered the store the gentleman at the register was very welcoming and inviting. Everything was cool my daughter got her popsicle flavor yogurt and loaded up her toppings and then we sat at a table. My daughter, bless her heart, loves to feed her little sister. I was she was feeding her little sister some yogurt, and the container of yogurt slipped off the table and onto the floor completely spilling everywhere. What a mess! Normally, my kids are very calm when e are out. Unfortunately today when she dropped her ice cream we kind of had a bit of a different result. Usually if you go somewhere and let's say an item of food falls on the floor on complete accident, the restaurant generally should use their good morals to accommodate. That kind of cashier informed me that because I spilled the yogurt I can only help me out with a 50% discount. So what does that mean for the five dollar yogurt I just purchased? Oh well that just means that money went down the trash just like the yogurt did. Coloring that I was baffled. I gathered my belongings and my children and left that establishment. I have I was outside walking to my car I was realizing that the harbor and money I just spent on a treat to reward my daughter for doing a great job for her first week of school. I find it hilarious that they want to charge a poor little 5 year old for a new yogurt. He didn't have a problem handing me the napkins to 'clean the mess on the table' as he said. I kindly took the napkins and informed him, 'Thanks but I'm not concerned about the mess on the table. I'm more concerned with the mess on her pants.' In the moment, I was upset and told my daughter this was a luxury that I never got as a child and she blew it and would never get yogurt again. Well, my daughter was a little upset and walked out with her head down. Her dad never lets his little girl down, so he went inside to talk to the manager. He told him what happened and the manager was kind enough to EVENTUALLY offer my daughter a replacement. I did mention to him that she is the size of a toothpick, so how much yogurt can a 30 lb girl really chow down on? Due to the nature of the issue, he came around and thought 'man, I really can't charge a poor 5 year old girl HALF OFF for an accidental spill.' He offered me a card to come back and enjoy a 3oz on them. I really don't think I want to come back to this location because of the humility. It was nice of another patron to approach us and ask if they really were about to charge us again. He thought the store was OUT OF THEIR MIND charging a CHILD FOR A SPILLED YOGURT. I did try to make a visit a few days later, as my daughter LOVES Cafe Zupas next door. The only problem is that the owner has an older relative that was 'watching the store'. This older lady was 'babysitting' as the actual workers that run the show, must have left on some type of break. We walked in to TRY to get yogurt, but it was a big time fail. The store was silent, it smelled like it just got mopped which was a plus. I just wish I was able to enjoy some yogurt. Maybe next time..
