I remember when this place opened up in our neighborhood and I want to say it was around 2003/2004. We have seen Dr Frerking mainly until Dr Benson came into work for them. A few times we saw other doctors they had but it was due to scheduling problems that we didn't see our main doctors.
They have seen 7 of our dogs throughout these years. We have also used them for boarding services. They are still our vets and I like that this office is near my house and convenient. The office is clean , the staff has always been helpful.
In all these years I have only had two complaints one was after putting one of my dogs to sleep one of the ladies from the front office came in to give me the bill. AHHHH ok how rude and insensitive after all the money I had spent that was really upsetting. She could have waited until I came out of the room. But I understand this was the front desk persons call and I assume she didn't know any better. Bad judgement on her part.
Second time was after I took one of my dogs to get neutered and in the process I wanted to remove a mass that was the size of a golf ball in groin area. He was neutered but mass was not removed. I called followed up with that vet that I do not remember his name but he said it would go away after surgery he just had. It didn't make sense but I said ok. After calling again that vet never returned my calls then calling and asking I found out that vet was no longer there and I am not surprised. We brought my dog in and Dr Benson saw him and agreed with everything we discussed his mass was never removed . Surgery was scheduled and by this time that mass was the size of a grapefruit. I am upset that this happened and I do feel that after that surgery my dog was never the same again, he had issues walking but I blame the original vet that made the mistake and not Dr Benson. Sadly she just cleaned up the mess that the previous vet left.
I do believe that this office is a bit expensive compared to other vets and even California so I think something could be done about that. I am very familiar with costs after so many years with my dogs and research so I use my judgement in deciding if something is really needed or not. We are a military family and they do offer a discount for military families and that helps a lot and it is much appreciated and it doesn't go unnoticed.
With all that I still love this place and will continue to bring my fur babies, they have my business. I whole heartedly trust Dr Frerking and Dr Benson, who is a sweet heart. They both have shown compassion in our time of distress with our fur babies and they have taken great care of them throughout the years. I also do not question their knowledge and know they love animals and care about their well being. When they have not been able to assist my dogs they have referred me to the best in other specialties like the California veterinary specialists angel care cancer center and Las Vegas veterinary referral center. Also when I have boarded my dogs I have not had a problem and know that they are in good care.
