| - This hotel is okay, but the styling in the rooms was perhaps too modern for me, bringing out more of a "cold" character instead of comfortable warmth. My room was large, with lots of open space. It really stood out as a basic box-in-a-building room -- just a rectangular room with a rectangular bathroom built in and minimal furnishings that were all at right angles, with little breaking up the boxy feel. This reminded me somewhat of a simple dorm room. (Although, of course, a fancy, spacious simple dorm room, with a lot better and more plentiful furniture than I ever had.) Despite a few accents and greyish wood floors, white was the predominant color in my sterile-ish room. The bed was very comfortable, and the glass 'farmhouse'-style sliding door on bathroom was neat. There was an armoire in place of closet, but it was enough space for me.
In contrast to the 'cold' feel of the hotel room, the first floor was modern but warm from earth tones, including dark woods. The check-in while I was there was quick and efficient. I thought the evening happy hour was a nice touch. Several well-padded chairs are available around the lobby area. The first floor also includes a café and two restaurants -- one a part of the hotel and the other simply a part of the building (I think). The small but well-equipped gym includes TVs on the wall and provided water and towels. A square lawn within confines of hotel includes large outdoor chess board just outside the gym.
My stay here was fine. I just got no joy out of waking in my 'cold'-seeming room each morning or returning to it each evening.
