Dive bar or not, this is a business. And it seems like it is run like a JOKE.
I call and place an order to pick up, Christine says it would be 30 minutes to which I agree and place my order. Zach gets there to pick it up and ends up waiting until it's been ONE HOUR later.
Christine knowing he's there waiting for a pick up order pays no mind and finally comes back and says they NEVER MADE IT. All the while he's been watching the cook hanging out and serving beers, wondering what the hell is going on?! Do you have to be a regular to get service? Great business model.
He's pissed at this point and says cancel it and he's leaving. He comes home and tells me everything and I decide to call to make sure he wasn't charged.
Call and Christine hangs up on me.
I call back and Christine this time says she couldn't hear me before, that she's brand new and didn't know what happened to the order and offers to get the owner.
I get on the phone with the [owner Vincent] he says he is and this guy sounds like he doesn't even care. He tells me that when we called and placed the order, there were 20 people in there and when Zach came to pick up they had 70 people in there and "TO-GO orders take the back burner when its busy".
It was NOT busy when he walked in AND they could have TOLD him that!!! COMMUNICATE. Zach saw the cook serving beers and hanging out. Wtf?!
[Vincent] offers to recook the food and comp my meal because I'm pissed at this point, but I don't want it. I just wanted to let this guy know how his business is being run and he gets all "what do you want me to do about it? Don't yell at me like I'm a child." Come on. Don't lie to me like I'm a child.
It is so annoying to experience how apathetic and unprofessional some small business owners can be.
