  • I always love coming to Penn Mac. This is probably my favorite stop in the Strip District. They have everything you want when it comes to cheeses, cold cuts, olive oil, vinegar, spices, sauces, bread and olives. I mean the amounts they have are mind boggling. I just sit back and admire the selection available to me. My favorite part about coming here is definitely the cheese counter. My goal is to get cheeses that I love but also to try something different and new. The whole staff behind the cheese counter are friendly, but one woman in particular is spectacular. Her name slips my mind, but she always calls me "Dear Heart". She is always willing to offer up a cheese that will go best with whatever meal or occasion you are looking for. I told her today the type of wine I was having for dinner and she immediately picked out a cheese for me. I immediately came home and tried the combination and she was spot on. That kind of service, no matter how crowded the place is, is something that I find rare. It is a huge reason why I love this place. Though the place can get quite crowded, the lines move extremely quickly, so don't let the crowds turn you off. Go inside and enjoy!
