  • We checked a few companies before having Republic West come out to replace a large (6' x 8') picture window and double entry doors. Both had to be custom-sized. Took about 6 weeks from purchase to installation. The salespeople (two came out) were very friendly, and showed us several options for the window. They also told us the pros and cons of each design. The window we chose looks terrific, and it has a separate sliding window at the bottom that locks automatically when closed. The doors we selected have a unique locking system that runs top to bottom, so your door is literally locked to the frame at the top and bottom. And you don't need a key to lock/unlock it on the inside. The old doors were a bit warped with age, and in the summer you could feel the heat several feet away. These doors . . . you can touch them in the middle of the day and feel . . . nothing. The seal is good. They look nice. So why only four stars? The original door install left some daylight at the top and bottom. The installer said this was "normal". We called the office, and another person was sent out to "finish" the job later that day. To sum up: Nice, informative salespeople. Great products. And when we needed to have something fixed to our satisfaction, they did. Right away. We also got a sizeable unadvertised discount at the time of purchase. We didn't know. They GAVE it to us.
