  • Awful service. My wife and I used to come here for lunch once or twice a month a few years ago and the service was better. Now we have been back twice recently and both times (different servers) were frustrating to say the least. The first time was last week- my mother in law's wine took about 20 minutes to get to us despite the waitress saying there were no customers at the bar. The queso dip we ordered also took about 20-25 minutes to get to our table. Only one person received water at our table. Our entrees took an abnormally long time to get to us. I understand it's not necessarily the waitress' fault but she made excuses for everything and long drawn out ones. Basically everything took forever and we were left at our table without water or refills on salsa, beer and wine for extremely long periods of time. We all left complaining how disorganized and frustrating the experience was. The waitress did convince the manager to take off our queso from the bill which we appreciated but it would have made us feel a lot better about the situation had the manager come to speak to us about it as well. Then today my wife and I decided to give it another try as we used to like the chopped salad as a lunch option and we thought maybe they had just been having an off day before. My wife ordered an Unsweet tea, the young waiter brought her a sweet tea. It took him a while to come back to the table. We both ordered the soup and salad combo. They got hers right this time but I only got a salad, no soup. We were both clear on what we wanted but it just didn't seem like the waiter was "all there". Like he was tired and unfocused and didn't want to be there. He also forgot our refill of salsa. When we were done with our meal it took forever for anyone to come check on us. We were sitting there with our food pushed away ready to get the check. The manager even peaked at us and saw us sitting there but still no one came. Finally we got the check and couldn't wait to get out of there because it took so long. The food is decent here but it really does feel like there is an issue with the management that trickles down to the lack of urgency and quality of service with the waiters. The staff acts like they don't really care that much even when it's not busy. The overall sense of service in this restaurant is not good. There needs to be more management and accountability with the staff.
