rev:text	School of Rock GV...well, they ROCK! I enrolled my 13 year old daughter last month & I've been nothing but pleased with the experience. My daughter is a bassist. She had about a year of private lessons under her belt from when we lived in CA, and she had played a couple of group performance shows with her previous studio. She just has that natural, play by ear ability. When we moved back to Henderson after being gone for a year and a half, we struggled to find the right fit for my daughter to continue developing her talent. We first toured the school with Andy, and on that day, we met with Harley, who teaches bass guitar. My daughter was able to spend about 20-30 minutes with Harley that day & afterward Harley was able to provide feedback to the School Director to be able to recommend proper placement for her. In total on that first day, we spent about an hour & a half there, learning how things work & touring the school. It really felt like Andy & Harley, as well as the multitude of other instructors we met that day, had a true love for music AND for their school & their students. There was just so much passion behind what they did & how they did it. Needless to say, I was sold that day! But even more importantly, my daughter was super stoked to get signed up & start playing again! Since joining the school, we've fallen even more in love with the whole concept. Students have their individual weekly lessons, and they get the opportunity to perform in a group. And the best part is that it's really up to the student to decide how involved they want to be. The group assignments are merit based. If the students work hard & demonstrate a true dedication to learning, they will be offered more opportunities. This isn't a "show up & get your participation trophy" place. They run a tight ship & they reward those who earn it. I think I love that most of all. Overall, School of Rock Green Valley is nothing short of amazing! If I could give it a higher rating than 5 stars, I would. If you or your child has any interest at all in exploring the musical arts, I would highly recommend School of Rock GV!
