  • I normally do not post reviews but I had to this time! I booked a car rental reservation for pickup @6:00am this morning. I read the fine print on the terms and conditions and it stated that if you were a local, you needed to present two utility bills with the name and address that matches the drivers license being presented. This is only the case if you're going to use a debit card. I was fine with that. Printed out what was needed and headed to rental place this morning. I was told when I got there that they do not accept debit cards from locals at all! Apparently, each location can decide not to accept them! It would've been nice for that little detail to be explained on the website!!!!! I don't have a problem with the policy. I have a problem with the lack of communication with consumers! I also felt like the agents in the location didn't give a shit about my inconvenience. Not one time did I get an apology. So now they have put a hold on my credit card that won't be released for at least three to five business days. I will never ever use this place again. I will never take Dollar Rent a Car for granted again. And be aware Dollar also has the same policy of no debit cards for locals unless you are a rewards member and your debit card was already attached to your account prior to January 9th.
