  • Last night, my family and I came to this restaurant and ran into an issue. We left, I wrote a review to share my experience and didn't think much until a gentleman came to find us at the pool today and invited us back, his name is Arthur the restaurant manager. We were impressed by the gesture, this gentleman walked to the pool to find us in the over 100 degree weather to invite us for dinner tonight. am glad we decided to return. I am updating my review based on our experience tonight. I feel that is something that often folks don't take the time to do in our society in the age of social media which is filled with negative criticism. We had a great experience tonight. It started with a warm greeting from the same gentleman Arthur, we were seated in a very spacious booth and greeted by our server who was attentive, knowledgeable and very friendly. She took our drinks order, and returned with it very quickly. Shortly after, Arthur returned with the very creative Chef, Dejan Djuckic who presented us with a tasty and perfectly presented appetizer. We placed our order, and embarked on a journey. We experienced something new, a truly fine meal. We began with the salad and avocado toast, the ingredients were perfectly balanced which awakened our palate. The main course, was made with fresh and top notch ingredients. Our Prime NY steak was a fine piece of meat raised in a reputable ranch. It was cooked perfectly, and paired with their delicious mashed potatoes and savory vegetables. Our second entrĂ©e was the Chilean sea bass, a treat. It was cooked perfectly, and paired with the most flavorful Brussel sprouts. Upon completing our meal, we were served the most delightful, visually stimulating and tasty dessert- a dark chocolate brownie was baked perfectly and the components were balanced and complemented each other. People are often unkind to members of the service industry, our experience this evening has surpassed any expectations we had. The meal, service, and experience have left us wanting more. My wife and I have traveled extensively and dined in many restaurants and in my opinion the skillful chef at Meritage is one of the finest cooks in Phoenix. We will be returning very soon, hungry for more. Thank you for your efforts to provide us this amazing culinary experience.
