| - I've been dying to find an indoor play place for my daughter for when the summer comes around. I did some research online and found Kangamoo & I'm so glad I did. When we arrived, I was pleased to find that they only charge for the kid & not the parent. $10 is very affordable & they even offer affordable monthly passes that you can share with another person... so awesome. Everything is surprisingly clean too because they require socks only. The most important part is the employees make sure to check that the stamp on your hand matches your kid's hand when you leave... you know... so that no one snatches your kid.
There's a lounge area for the parents that includes: televisions, massage chairs, coffee, tea and the most exciting part... there's a track with weights available so you can work out as a parent while your kid plays. They also have an elliptical! There's a smaller area for younger kids, a book reading station and coloring book station, as well. On Fridays, they offer free face painting and balloons. So all in all, not bad for 10 bucks and an indoor place with AC for the summer. I'm thinking about having my daughter's bday here too.
The only negatives: it's pretty crowded most of the time, which means the parents' lounge is packed. Also, I think they put some sort of wax on the slides that make them super slick & fast. The second time I went, my daughter kept turning sideways and hit her head both times just because it was so slick.
Lastly, the snacks they offer for purchase are all healthy, which is awesome; however, they sell protein packs with cheese & nuts, etc. My daughter has a severe nut allergy, so if someone dropped a tiny morsel of a nut & my daughter picked it up and ate it, it could kill her. I would suggest becoming a nut free facility to avoid any preventable legal issues... just saying.
Oh... also, there's some pretty big drops on the jungle gym, so parents need to go with their kids if they are younger. I follow my daughter everywhere just to make sure. The only bad part about the massage chairs I've found is that the same people are on them the entire time & don't supervise their out of control kids...
