| - I copied my review from my Google because I think people need to know how this club runs. It's seriously a bummer.
Disappointed this place has become the go-to for all the best comedians.
Staff were walking around the whole way through the show, their "preferred seating" set up is a SCAM it's actually far more expensive than it ought to be, it offers little to no value. Drinks took FOREVER to come, I would have had more than my minimum because I was enjoying what I could of the show, but everything was behind. Then at the end of the night, we had our tabs get messed up which led to me scanning my receipt trying to understand what happened, missing the closing 15 minutes of the show.
Fast forward to extended arguments and confrontations with 2-3 managers, all who were not communicating with one another, about all the mistakes and issues we had, we never got food, got charged different prices than were listed (drinks were $8 a pop because they "had no way to know who ordered what"). Managers finally caved after about 45 minutes of discussions, and people hovering around the P.O.S. trying to figure out what happened.
Again, I'm REALLY sad that this is the staple comedy club, because it's a joke (no pun intended). It's run by a bunch of people more interested in squeezing people for money, than people who want to provide a fun night. There's a lot of good acts coming to town, but I'm sad to say I won't be going because they are at stand up live.
I gave 2 stars only because I got some kind of solution, but the experience overall left a really bad taste in my mouth.
Pros: Tom Segura was hilarious, and I got to meet him between waiting for issues to be resolved. Food was okay, ultimately got a satisfactory conclusion. Waitstaff were kind and apologetic, despite being a distraction most of the night.
Cons: Staff moving around constantly; distracting, poor management structure, had to fight for a satisfactory solution for far too long, slow kitchen/bar service, food missing, prices not matching what was listed/tossed general price bracket of 'food' or 'beverage'. Seating was cramped (more than the Improv is), and table space was a bare minimum.
