I was totally impressed by this place. It's not one of those huge coffee shops that everyone knows about, but I'm ok with that. I loved the comfortable feel of the space, the local art, and if I were rating just on baristas, I would ask for a sixth star to be added to my review.
When deciding what to order, I asked several questions, and the barista asked if I'd been in before. I mentioned it was my first time, and she said my HUGE lemon scone was on the house then. Free pastries may be the way to my heart, but even if it wasn't free I would've still loved my visit here. Definitely get the lemon scone (perfectly not too sweet). They make all their baked goods in house, and the variety is impressive.
I also tried the cubano which is a drink made with espresso shots pulled with sugar and has condensed milk added to it. I've never had anything like it, and I kinda want to go back now just for another one. Warning: combining pastries and the cubano might be too much sugar for those without a big sweet tooth. Can't wait to go back!
