  • After coming here 4 times now, my last experience was way worse than normal. Normally people rate hotels by the cleanliness and friendliness, but think...if something happens, how will the hotel handle it? This is what changed my review. After a series of unfortunate events, we found out that there is no maintenance at night. Which is crazy because, like what happened to us, we needed a maintenance person and they tried to send up a security guard who had no idea what to do, which is not her fault. We ended up having to change rooms at 1:30am because no maintenance was on site and the nice security guard tried forever to fix our problem. Our first night we were in a room that had no guard rails. I ended up falling and injuring my side and they tried to tell us that only the 5 handicap rooms in the whole facility require rails. Even non-handicap people can fall in a wet shower! The timeshare guest services guy, Phillip, was terrible. He didn't even PRETEND like he was paying attention. At the end of our horrible trip, we tried to talk to him about possibly getting some compensation for our troubles. My mom was trying to point to a fire alarm on the wall to explain that that was the type we had problems with in the room. He didn't even turn around to look at the fire alarm my mom was talking about. Definitely rude. We ended up checking out a day early and staying at La Quinta around the corner, which was a really nice facility. BUT, there are a lot of awesome people that work there that I want to make sure get kudos: 1. Kerri (front desk)- she's helped us on a number of our trips and always tries to find us the best room with the best view. Really helpful. 2. Jessica (security)- she's the one that tried really hard to fix the fire alarm issue for us. Like I said, she's not supposed to be the maintenance person, but she kept trying really really hard to fix it. 3. Keith (bell hop)- he's always so helpful with carrying luggage and is super friendly. My mom loves him. 4. James (manager)- James told us he's pretty new to his job, but he was extremely helpful when we explained all of our troubles. The positives of Club 36 is definitely the price, location, indoor pool, washer/dryer, and kitchen. Just hope nothing goes wrong with your room. :)
