| - "We've been robbed! Wait no, wtf, why are our laptops fine but my toiletries all busted up and our room phone in a million pieces?"
That was pretty much what I said upon entering our room at the Marriott at 2am after going out to a few Cleveland bars after the first night of a convention up there.
Turns out I was originally assigned a different roommate than my friend who I attended the convention with, and well, let's just say roommate #3 was given a key completely drunk, and destroyed my room (also breaking his arm in the process).
You know you have a service problem at your hotel when this is what you hear from them regarding the incident.
"At approximately 1:30am Mr. X arrived the front desk quite intoxicated and demanded your room key, approximately 15 minutes later he returned and asked for directions to a local drinking establishment."
After all of this, room service continued to leave our phone, shattered in 50 pieces, all over our floor so I could cut my feet on it every time I got out of bed or the shower...wonderful.
Another note, I'm still shocked by the "escorts" in this hotel. I suppose that's what you should expect, it being a large business hotel and all, and old businessmen needing to keep busy, but seriously...I rode the elevator more than once with ladies (at least I think they were ladies) of the night, and well, it didn't leave a positive impression.
On the plus side, the breakfast was delicious...I just had to navigate my way around shattered plastic/metal and hookers to get to it.
