| - I love little record store chains. Record stores like this one helped to shape my musical tastes. Sure, the new stuff they have is overpriced and they may not have the selection to choose from like Chicago's great Reckless Records. I find the beauty in the bargains here. They have a clearance section that is sprawling. In the back, the cds are $5 and $2. Actually, I was ready to check out when I saw that on top of the new cd racks were a ton of $1 cds. I think of stores like this as a treasure hunt. Sure you have to dig through a BUNCH of terrible music, but you find gems. I got something like 9 cds for $21? Some of them were older, but when you're like me and are still picking up things you meant to get ages ago, places like this are so helpful. Ivy, The Pipettes, Spinanes, Aloha, Dambuilders, etc. Some great new stuff and older stuff stuck in the bargain bin for unknown reasons. What a steal. They played Belle & Sebastian and I felt like I was in Championship Vinyl for a minute. Then I realized they had marked all this awesome stuff down to $1 so they were not as cool as Rob Gordon.
