| - I highly recommend this place especially if you are involved in TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return). We took two feral cats there, one a couple of years ago (which we ended up keeping and he turned out to be the sweetest, most loving kitty) and another one just a few weeks ago. The place is very clean and the staff is friendly, and, compared to other low cost spay&neuter clinics, pain medication here isn't an option - it's included. It may seem more, but I compared their prices with those on www.spayaz.com and at the first glance the other one seems cheaper for the surgery, but after you add the cost of the pain medication at spayaz.com (which I don't think should be optional) - it's only $2 cheaper and when I called them to make an appointment.... well, let me just say it was a different experience and we decided we didn't want to experience anything there IN PERSON (even though they do offer lower prices for vaccinations and tests) since the whole thing with a scared feral kitten is stressful enough fore everyone involved. So, PAWS it was... again! The only reason I give them 4 stars and not 5, because the girl on the phone told us to bring the kitten at 7:30 a.m., which we did, but when we called to check on her around 11 a.m., they told us that they still hadn't got to her yet and that they were working on dogs first. I understand she's just a feral kitten (or this is how many view them), but I really hated for her being stuck in the carrier for so many hours when she could have been at home in her own warm room, the one she was familiar with, and we could have slept longer that morning too. It may seem like a small thing, and looking back - it probably was, I would still go there again, but that day was so very stressful for all of us, we were worried about her and how her FIV/FLV tests would turn out that even such small thing added up to our stress unnecessarily . Another thing I would like to mention about this place, and this is just my feeling: they seem to focus on dogs more than cats, I may be wrong but this is just how it felt to me after this last experience and when I found out that they did dental cleaning for dogs only. No, I wouldn't have taken a star off for this "offense", it's just my own personal observation that I thought some people with cats would like to know and consider. Other than that, it's a great place if you want to spay or neuter your pets, microchip them or vaccinate at a reasonable price. Thank you, PAWS for all the good work you do!
