  • Okay...I've read the reviews here and I've been to just about every sushi joint in Scottsdale which is why I can't figure out why everyone is so hyped up about this place. My wife and I went for happy hour tonight based on all the great reviews from here. We ordered 4 things off of the HH menu and one drink each. Final Bill...$50. The short ribs were for the most part fatty (Chelsea's Kitchen has the best) and everything else was served in extremely small portions. As far as actual taste goes...it was just okay. Sapporo has some of the better sushi and other menu items but I'm kind of pissed at them right now for totally changing their happy hour around. They held the #1 spot for the longest time and then they went and changed it. They still have awesome food though and great sushi. The decor at Roka was very trendy looking so I can see how it would be popular with the clubbies. Service was very good and I had no complaints in that area. Basically, the food was just okay. Anyway...go try it for yourself and if I'm wrong then maybe it was just our experience.
