The best food you'll ever eat has one ingredient that never really makes it to your mouth....Heart. This dessert place in the Nevada Desert. Tons of it. Dessert is not really my thing since I'm not a sweets eater, but well, I was along for the ride. The store was mostly empty with not even anyone at the front counter. When Desyree heard the door, she went up to the front to greet us. What ensued was something out of a Costco visitors' diary. Desyree started us on a tasting of samples galore. She started out our palates on the plain, then gradually moved up to advanced flavors while explaining how each was made and the methodology of flavors derived. By the time we were done, I was already seriously full with more than 6 or so samples in my belly. I even learned some history and how to really taste the gelato properly. Desyree really spread her passion onto us.
-=-Affogato-=- It's here and it's good. When everyone goes gaga for gelato, I drizzle that espresso on top and call it my morning coffee. The harshness of the espresso usually works with simple flavors. I mixed mine up with cookie butter. All is right with the world.
