| - Julie was very accommodating with is. I can honestly say that I would recommend this place to someone looking for a nice space and a moderate budget.
Here are the highlights:
The apartments are refurbished and actually look really nice. Although paint chipping in the kitchen was an issue, the office will give you paint before you move out so that you aren't charged, and based on my experience they do not try to take advantage of people's deposits. When we left, we were only charged for 2 things that were definitely our fault.
The new manager, Julie, is obviously experienced and is great about communication with her tenants! The entire office staff (I believe they are all new) is lovely. Mareve is one of the sweetest people I have ever done business with. If my budget was the same as last year, I definitely would've renewed my lease. Due to financial constraints, my roommates and I will be looking for another apartment.
I've heard a lot of apartment horror stories (bad plumbing, rude management, inattentive maintenance staff, lots of noise early in the morning due to landscapers, and water being shut off). I really haven't had any of those issues here. Oh, and no bugs either! Aside from a very small ant problem, we never saw any bugs in our apartment which is the most important thing for me.
One of the best things about this complex is the maintenance staff! They are so friendly. Our A/C went out a few days after we moved in (I don't blame the apartment complex for this. It's Arizona. It happens.) and I called the maintenance line (at around 10pm) and they arrived within 15 minutes with a portable A/C unit and it was fixed the following day! They have had quick responses to every maintenance request that I had put in and I really appreciated that.
Another bonus is the safety factor. I have never once felt unsafe here, and I also almost never dealt with drunk college students making a lot of noise around the complex.
Like I said, I would definitely recommend this apartment! It is reasonable and over all a good experience compared to what else you would find near ASU for the same price.
