| - Never tried them in the states but heard lots of good things...definitely over hyped because there is a lack of flavor. If anything the chicken was decent but as a whole it's definitely missing something. One star may seems harsh but I'm looking at it as a whole for price and taste. I got the small platter which was $10 and my co-worker got the large platter $14, plus $2 for the "combo" which is just chicken and gyro, no drink. So for $16 you'd expect a pretty big "platter" right? Wrong, portions were just average, smaller than those Asian take out 3 part containers. It's an OK portion but if you're hungry and have a big appetite, don't expect it to fill you. As others have mentioned, humus is extra $0.99, where as anywhere else you go it's free. So add humus to your meal plus a drink and your bill is over $20. Maybe some people like the small orange rice; however I was not a fan. Not just the texture but the overall flavor of it was lacking and to me, the second most important thing besides the chicken (protein) is the rice in a meal/platter, I prefer basmati. I was not a fan and would honestly not recommend anyone try it, considering the price tag.
I did not try the wrap, perhaps that might've been better as the chicken was decent so I can only comment on the platter. Seems a lot of new people came in to buy the regular combo platter only to realize it did not include a drink and it only meant "chicken and gyro".
