  • l leased a new 2018 Equinox on Sunday 4/29. During the three hours I was at the dealership, which included a test drive with our sales person in the car with us, nobody told me about the Auto Stop feature on the car. This feature is an extremely significant change to how a car operates and is something that should have been explained and shown to me. While I understand the reason and benefits, I personally do not want a car with this feature. I want my car to turn off ONLY when I turn it off. Some day in the future I may not have a choice because every car manufacturer may have this feature on all cars but, that is not the case right now and I do have the ability to lease a car without this feature. That choice was taken away from me as I was told nothing about it. I have contacted the dealership and asked how to bypass the option and was told you cant. Since it cant be bypassed, I have asked for what options I have to return the car or trade the car. I Unfortunately the answer I received is, in a nutshell, NO. Nothing can or will be done. I had the car less than 48 hours and less than 70 miles on the car when I contacted the dealership, I cant believe there isn't another option. The fun and excitement of getting a new car has been ruined. I am not a rich woman. I was a single full time working mother for many many years and new cars are not something I've had often in my life. I am very disappointed and will make sure everyone in my life, currently and those I have yet to meet, knows about my experience. I will use every social media outlet available , I will use shoe polish on the window of my car and drive all over town advertising my experience and disappointment. My husband will do the same. It isn't right, and it's a shame a large corporation like Auto Nation cant do the right thing
