| - This is a fun local eatery with great outdoor seating and complimentary chocolate chip sea salt cookies!
Their shattered chips with jalapeƱo sauce are a crowd favorite. I'd liken them to a cross between french fries and potato chips, or the natural word-meld "frips." Some are thicker cuts of tater, others are thins crisps, so everyone is happy. One order is good to share as a side for two people. I also overheard a guy at the next table ask for a half-order which isn't on the menu, but apparently is allowed!
My husband and I had the Paris, Texas Burger and White Fish Sandwich. Both were good, although the fish serving was a bit small and the buns were the kind of white bun that leaves you feel like you're eating air.
We didn't order drinks, but they have a ridiculously long happy "hour" that runs from 11am to 7pm and includes beer, sangria, wine, and cocktails.
The decor is colorful and tables are well-shaded. My only other critique is that the service felt a bit over-attentive. The waitress asked permission to refill our water glasses and cleared my plate while I still had a bite in my hand (not to be pushy, just trying to serve well). Although, I am coming from cold Boston, so the friendliness is partially just a bit of a culture shock!
Overall it's definitely worth a try. Check out the LGO grocery and knick knack store across the street if you have time to poke around, and don't forget to grab some of those complimentary cookies on your way out!
