| - We rented a minivan from AVR for our wedding weekend in Vegas so we could drive guests around. It was definitely the cheapest location to rent one ($266 for 5.5 days). After I reserved it, I was a little worried because of all the bad reviews I saw later.
In fact, while I was checking in, there was only one other customer & she was irate over something involving her rental. She started questioning me, demanding to see my rental papers to check if she was being treated unfairly, interrupting the agent constantly during our transaction, and when I ultimately told her to stop pestering us, accused me of being a fake customer brought in to make it seem like this was a fair business. (She discovered I was from Texas like she was, so cleverly, AVR found an actor with a Texas driver's license on call to come and make a fake transaction.) She may have had a legitimate complaint, but handled it like a crazy person & in fact, as I was concluding my transaction, 3 police officers arrived to help calm her down and escort her off.
The agents handled it professionally, though, and aside from that, everything went smoothly from beginning to end. No line (although I came at 8am on a Wednesday), no extra charges, no insisting I get their insurance, very legit. I'm not disputing those who have had issues, but I feel like when a business does it right, they should get a good review to offset the bad reviews.
