The extended insurance that is sold on GE appliances has not met our expectations on the service end. So far, our GE washer has been broken twice and taken several weeks to successfully repair. A repair person comes, tells us we need more parts he does not have at the time, and then orders them for the following week. The washer was fixed for less than a week when there was an electrical issue. Again a service person came out, ordered parts for the following week, schedules the appointment with me, but fails to set up the appointment through GE. I stayed home from work to be available for a no show. Now I have to stay home again tomorrow for another service call. I'm beginning to think that GE products and their service people stink and I would certainly never buy another GE appliance.
