| - I was really excited to try this place out because of all the cutesy bear designs! I'm definitely drawn to desserts that are displayed so cutesy!
So when my 2 friends and I walked in, there was a couple of people in front of us before we ordered. Kathy got a puff waffle with ice cream on the side, Angie got a red velvet cookie shot and I ordered the bear waffle with a hot pistachio latte.
It wasn't that busy so were able to get a table. Across the room, they had a table that had all the cutlery we needed plus a pitcher of water for the customers. Too bad they were too busy to refill the water.
It took about 15-20 minutes before my friends got their desserts and they almost finished theirs before a server came to tell me that their cotton candy machine broke and if I still wanted my bear waffle or a refund!
Now, I was baffled on wondering why it took so long before they realized their cotton candy machine broke, and how come it took 30 minutes to tell me, and it seemed as if they still have yet to make the waffle itself?! I wanted to give the benefit of a doubt and said that I'd still take a waffle. I then realized I hadn't even gotten my pistachio latte yet! 30 minutes, no drink and no waffle! Not to mention, people that came after us were getting their orders!
When the drink came out, I was disappointed to see it in a disposable cup instead of a mug with a cutesy bear design that I had seen on yelp.
About 45-50 minutes in, I finally got my waffle and it was disappointing to get it in a cup and you couldn't see the bear. I had to take it out so you could see it. The waffle was delicious, the pistachio ice cream and pistachio latte were too sweet for my taste.
First off, if you're gonna display cute designs, you should uphold the business by training people to do it right, not to mention be passionate about the products and help give suggestions on what to try! Second, the servers should ask if the customer plans on eating in so that they know how to display the desserts properly. Third, they need more people to keep up with the amount of business they're doing.
It'll be awhile before I give this place a second chance...sorry....!
