Ho-hum. Not awful, but not great.
Good things:
1. great service
2. Really nice waitresses
3. They have a veggie plate
That's it for good things.
Not so good things:
1. Food was average, I could have gotten the same or better at most bars. The veggies on my veggie plate were probably fresher a couple days ago.
2. I could have probably made better nachos at home, and I can barely cook. Does making nachos count as cooking by the way? For me it does, but I wonder if most people consider it cooking?
3. Patrons seemed a little downtrodden...it was depressing.
Anyway, I guess what was missing from Pranksters was that certain something. Charm maybe? It was just ehhh, I didn't feel like I was hanging out at a fun place. It was big, mostly empty, and boring. I like to go to a place and meet people who are interesting to talk to and that has nice atmosphere. This place and the people in it seemed like they were beat down by life. I wanted to get out of there before I fell down that hole.
I need to find a fun place to bike to on Sunday afternoons where I can have a couple of cocktails and something good to eat cheap. Does this place exist in South Scottsdale?
