I have been going to this nail salon almost religiously ever two weeks for almost 3 years. Only one person ever remembered me and it wasn't the owner.
Recently I had two experiences that made it so I would absolutely never go back. The first was just a comment made from the owner about him only doing something for regulars, implying I was not one, and that upset me just a little. The second was the last time I went in there. The owner has a friend Paul that helps out from time to time and has always been overly pleasant to me. This time was the exact opposite. I signed in and asked how long the wait would be and in return I got "If you can't wait 20 minutes or however long it is with the rest of the people then I don't know why you are here!"
I'm sorry, what? That is the response to, "how long is the wait?" The owner was standing right there and said/did nothing. I then said that was the second time that a person had been rude to me lately here and he proceeded to say, "I'm not a person, my name is Paul." To which I said, "hi Paul, I have actually met you quite a few times here. Do you have a pen I can borrow?" I scratched my name off of the list and left.
I really feel like being so close to downtown this place should cater more to business women or at least be pleasant to them but that is not the case at all.
Customer service has just gone out the window here and it is not worth going to spend $30 and get your nails done. There are other places close to downtown that will happily take your money and be polite while doing so.
