Absolutely awful. Wanted to love this airline as it flies into my hometown and is super convenient and dirt cheap... to start with at least.
Our flight home Sunday night was delayed, then delayed and then cancelled. I had to wait on hold for over an hour to reach a customer service agent. While I was on the phone she told me that the flight was cancelled, it was another two hours before I received a text message with notification of the cancellation. Why so long until passengers were formally notified? My husband had to catch a flight on another airline and I was forced to fly the reschedule Allegiant flight (the next day) with our toddler by myself. We spent over $300 out of pocket on a new flight, doggy daycare and misc. fees and expenses. I emailed Allegiant and waited 45 days to hear back. At which point they offered to refund $90 of our expenses (which I do not see on my credit card yet). The hassle and cost if something goes wrong is just not worth it. They did issue a $100 voucher to be used towards another flight but I doubt I'll risk it. I'll pay a little more upfront with another airline and save myself the stress and hassle.
