  • I cannot say enough about Blackbird. I lived in Lakewood my whole life until this past Feb when I moved to the east side and we are struggling to find a place as great as Blackbird on the east side. The fresh bakery is to die for. Their breads stay for a long time if kept in the fridge and they are the perfect density and have so much flavor. Their biscuits take you to the south and their homemade granola is great on yogurt. Their drinks are so delicious and are perfectly priced. Their chai tea latte is better then I have ever had and their espresso is full of flavor and never tastes burnt like some coffee places. It is right by the metro parks entrance so everyone comes in after a long walk or bike ride. It is a fun place to have breakfast before work, meet up with friends on a Saturday, or a place to grab coffee after a long walk with your dog. If you want a great, local coffee shop filled with homemade bakery options that isn't over priced, look no further. Can't say enough about Blackbird!
