| - Watch for it just past El Pastor on South Park St. but before the library. It's a little grocery store with parking in front and on the side, with posters for music events taped to the windows featuring Tortillas freshly made on their vintage tortilla machine, sold by weight. Go in on a Saturday morning and buy some barbacoa or carnitas para llevar, or get a plate of carne and some tortillas and join the other diners at the long tables, making your own tacos with salsa, cilentro, and other condiments from the bowls in front of you. Add a Mexican coke sweetened with real sugar, or one of the many flavors of soft drinks--my favorite is Sidral Mundet. Or come in for lunch and get a huge takeout meal of guisado. Looking for tomatillos, nopales con espinas or without? Perhaps you want to make your own masa--they sell the right kind of corn in bulk, along with the lime for soaking. Several kinds of pan dulce. Tamales. comida epazote, yerba dolor, peppers, huitlacoche, flor de calabaza. Want to make your own mole? They have the right kinds of chiles and the chocolate.
