| - It's a classy joint for a hostel, it really is. Perhaps because I'm 32 years old and I feel that I could be a bit too old to be staying in a hostel/I could be a bit jaded, but I have no idea how this place is so highly reviewed. It is overpriced for what you get, but here are my positives:
Free parking
Pretty decent room if you book one with its own bathroom
Great location in the city
Nice rooftop balcony
Nice towels! (Only got 2 though)
Negatives:
There was a private party going on when we checked in, it was loud and smelly and noisy and that just feels inconvenient and annoying. You feel like you are interrupting someone's event, yet you are mad that they are right outside their door.
It was hotter than hell in there-I don't care if they were to tell me the air conditioning was on, it was effin' hot! We had to buy a fan to even manage to sleep.
How do you not have a tv??!
Shower was dirty/hairs left over and didn't drain well
It feels like you are sleeping in someone's dirty dorm room sheets/bed. Creepy.
But, if you are on a budget, or want to share a room with strangers or a friend, this could be the place for you. Like I said, for what it is, I find it expensive. I would return only if we couldn't find anything cheaper.
