  • I spend more than the average amount of time in music stores. Generally, I am A. the girl following around the Asian dude and providing a largely unqualified opinion on the purchase of a piece of professional sound equipment or B. sitting on a drum throne and staring into space while the Asian dude tinkers with music gear. (He's my husband.) Either way, I have witnessed plenty of music transactions, and our experience at Sam Ash was pretty supreme. We went here on a quest for a travel size drum kit after visiting another spot where we received close to no help from a kid more interested in keeping his Bieber-do in place than in helping us. Sam Ash had three times the selection, which is perhaps the key for a good music store, and a staff that was 300% more helpful. These guys seemed to be tried and true music gents. They were super patient with us and did everything they could to answer our questions quickly and accurately. Everyone was friendly and professional. The store is huge and even has a nice sized stage right in the center. Our experience was definitely 5-stars, but we were only there once and for a very particular item, so I don't feel qualified to give a solid 5 stars. However, I am confident in saying if you have a musical need, you should definitely stop by this Sam Ash. At the very least, it will be a pleasant time and you won't encounter a plethora of unhelpful, musical wannabes.
