| - !!WARNING!! Truck owners and large SUV type vehicles Do Not take your large beautiful vehicles to this place. Potential damage to side mirrors. If something happens to it, the owner may not take any responsibility for damages. I never complain or am the type of person to speak up, but I must. Only one star for the manager who tried his best to fix the damage. Being I was so upset, he was so nice and attentive at the time. I went to this hand car wash because it was close by and based on the Yelp reviews, which were good
I arrived with a truck, not sure how to retract the side mirrors, the employees kept telling me they were electrical. I really did not know and we tried to find how to retract them. Once it was determined it could not be done, the employee tells me ok to proceed through the hand wash. I was not warned of a potential problem or damage to the side mirrors.
I was in the truck going through the hand wash. I saw the large metal air duct vents to dry off the vehicles were pretty close to the wash line. Before I knew it, the truck side mirrors hit the vents, scraping and damaging the painted covers. The employee noted the damage after I passed through. I never experienced anything like this before. The employee told me why I did not brake. I never knew I could do something like that and was not told I could. I always thought applying the brakes through a car wash line would cause some sort of damage to the car wash rollers or cause the car behind me to rear end my car.
Anyways, once out of the car wash line. The employee gets the manager who tried to buff out the scratches, which he did along with the paint color. I cannot remember the manager's name but he tried his best. The manager tells the owner, Michael Dorantes, who was present in the office. Mr. Dorantes tells me to complete an incident report, which I did. He tells me his insurance will call me. Afterwards, I contact him twice after not being contacted by his insurance. So I called him today since I was not contacted. He tells me they are not responsible because his employee said the side mirrors were electrical and they were not responsible for not retracting them. If that were the case, his employee should have told me not proceed or warned me. How can this be!! This was my first time at this place how would I know about their car wash line. I believe the employee had a responsibility to be proactive and prevent a potential problem.
Anyways, I am so disappointed they took no care to provide this customer a safe and satisfying experience at their business. I am just one customer but hope others who use this business do so with caution and aware of the risk.
